Portel has two municipal pools: an indoor pool open for most of the year, and an outdoor pool complex — wave pool, olympic pool, diving pool and children's pool — open for a set period in summer. In summer, lifeguards also watch the three river beaches on the lakes.

Amieira Marina
The biggest rental base on the lake. Hire SUP boards, kayaks, canoes, electric boats and houseboats, or join a lake cruise. Inflatable SUP (with paddle and life jacket): €15 for 1 h, €35 for 3 h, €65 for a full day. Hard SUP: €20 / €45 / €75. Electric boats for up to 6 people: €50 for 1 h, €80 for 2 h, €100 for 3 h, €120 for 4 h, €200 for 8 h.
